Experiential Design (Austin)
Experiential Design
We turn goals and constraints into buildable concepts for interactive, immersive spaces. Our team blends narrative, spatial design, and real-time tech look-dev so ideas survive the leap from deck to install. Based in Austin and working nationwide, we de-risk projects early with clear budgets, schedules, and prototypes you can test.
Concept decks, storyboards, tech look-dev, prototypes.
What We Deliver
Concept Pack — experience narrative, mood/visual language, interaction flows
Tech Look-Dev — TouchDesigner/Unreal explorations, sensor studies, feasibility notes
Spatial/AV Layouts — rough lensing/pixel maps, coverage sketches, signal flow
Budget & Schedule (ROM) — pilot vs. flagship options with key risks called out
Prototype Assets — short videos and files you can share with stakeholders
Budget & Timeline (typical starting ranges)
Concept Sprint — 2 weeks
Narrative, references, experience flows, early tech feasibility.Prototype-in-a-Week — 1 week
Clickable demo or sensor test (TouchDesigner/Unreal) to validate interaction and look.Full Design Package — 3–6+ weeks
Concept pack + tech look-dev + spatial/AV layouts + ROM budget/schedule and presentation.
Notes: scope, number of concepts, and site complexity affect price and time. Hardware procurement, fabrication drawings, and install are separate—see our Interactive Installations page.
Process
Discovery Sprint → Concepting → Tech Look-Dev → Prototype → Design Package → (Build with Us or Handoff)
We map constraints early (power, network, rigging, ambient light), define KPIs, and keep approvals moving with short milestones and show-and-tell demos.
Case Studies
HEB Immersive Dinner — Concept & Prototype
From brand goals to a shippable pop-up concept with a working interaction demo. See project →
Founder’s Office — Spatial Narrative
Designed a focused, low-touch interactive centerpiece that fit existing AV/control. See project →
Mycocube — Tech Look-Dev
Projection mapping + sensor behaviors explored in Unreal/TouchDesigner before fabrication. See project →

FAQs
Do you only design, or can you also build?
Both. Many clients start with Experiential Design and then roll into our Interactive Installations scope for build and operations.
What do we need to provide to start?
A short brief (objectives, audience), site photos/dimensions, any brand guardrails, and timeline/budget bands. We’ll validate site readiness during Discovery.
How polished are the deliverables?
Concepts are presentation-ready; tech look-dev shows risk and feasibility; layouts are for planning (not stamped drawings). If you move to build, we produce install-ready docs.
Can you work with our agency or AV partner?
Yes. We often white-label or co-create; we’re clear about scopes, SLAs, and handoffs.
Who owns the work?
Final design deliverables are yours per the SOW. We retain internal tools/libraries; we’ll document everything for a clean handoff.
How do we measure success at the design stage?
Buy-in from stakeholders, validated feasibility (prototype), and a realistic ROM budget/schedule with identified risks and mitigations.
